Hinchinbrook Shire Council built a walkway featuring an exercise station in Palm Creek corridor and a cement stabilized gravel walkway along the foreshore at Lucinda including the provision of two shelters for picnic or rest points for walkers. |

Mount Isa Chamber of Commerce developed a comprehensive information site that provides a window to the Mount Isa region. It is a powerful advertising medium which encourages economic growth in the region and provides access to the community.

5. Flinders Water Catchment Study - $10,000
Flinders Shire Council had feasibility level studies undertaken for the social and economic benefits of the Hughenden Irrigation Project (Mt Beckford Scheme) and the Flinders River Catchment Area.

6. Charters Towers Directory - $22,000
The North Queensland Public Education Association produced 9000 copies of a 250-page business and community directory to distribute free to all households in Charters Towers and Dalrymple, and a number of towns along the Townsville – Mount Isa corridor. |

7. Umbrella Studio Air-conditioning - $34,015
The Umbrella Studio Association Incorporated purchased and installed air conditioning at their new premises in Flinders Street Townsville, in the gallery exhibition/display area and artist studio spaces. |

8. Magnetic Island Walkways - $387,063
The Townsville City Council will build a walkway between Nelly and Picnic bays on Magnetic Island, which will allow tourists and locals to safely and easily walk between the two bays. |

9. Gulf Barramundi Hatchery - $103,290
The Gulf Barramundi Restocking Association is using Regional Partnerships funds to improve its production capabilities by building a laboratory to produce live prey and adding infrastructure to enable fingerlings to be grown to a larger size.

10. Maritime Museum Upgrade - $22,000
The Townsville Maritime Museum successfully secured Regional Partnerships funding to upgrade its interpretation and display cabinets. |

11. Extension of Homestead Community Hall - $23,452
The Homestead Progress Association sought funds to extend the existing hall to accommodate a separate food preparation and refreshment area in addition to a unisex toilet. |

12. Sponge Aquaculture, Palm Island - $141,900
The Coolgaree Aboriginal Corporation is developing an aquaculture farm in the Palm Island Group to grow sea sponges for cosmetic and industrial purposes. |

13. Feasibility Study: Lucerne-based Feedstock - $22,000
The Burdekin Shire Council was successful in securing funding to conduct a feasibility study to examine the possibility of establishing a lucerne-based feedstock industry in the Burdekin. |

14. John Flynn Place - $25,000
The Friends of John Flynn Place in Cloncurry applied for funds to construct a purpose-built garage to house and display a Dodge, which is similar to the car driven by the founder of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Reverend John Flynn. |

15. Townsville Regional Engineering Cluster - $88,000
Funds were sought from Regional Partnerships to support an engineering cluster in North Queensland.
TREC's objective is to provide members with an opportunity to present a united approach to potential buyers, with the intention of securing business from local and international engineering projects. |

16. Tyto Wetlands - $110,000
The Hinchinbrook Shire Council plans to build the Tyto Interpretive Centre, which will provide public facilities for visitors to the Tyto Wetland, act as a base for guided tours and provide educational information about the wetlands.

17. Mount Isa Tourism Strategy - $16,500
Mount Isa City Council will develop a Tourism Strategy 2005-2010 in conjunction with the Mount Isa Tourism Association. The plan will outline the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead, and recommend ways to enhance tourism in the region. |

18. St Francis School Oval - $19,506
The St Francis School Parents and Families Association was successful in securing funding to refurbish the school oval.
The new grassed area will be used as a general play area for the school and to hold community sporting activities. |

19. Kowanyama Multipurpose Sports Centre - $1,296,761
The Kowanyama Aboriginal Shire Council has secured Federal and State Government funding to build a multipurpose sports facility in Kowanyama, Cape York Peninsula..
In addition to providing a centre for a wide range of sports, the centre will also be used as a venue for meetings, cultural events and will provide emergency shelter in the event of a natural disaster. |

20. Richmond Lake Shade
The Lake Shade and Recreation Development Project is providing the community of Richmond and visitors to the town with a quality recreation facility. The project will provide the community with 5 new shelters strategically located around the lake with lighting in three of them and BBQ's water and tables to under four of the shelters. |

21. Julia Creek Dirt and Dust Infrastructure Project
Many small rural and regional areas have annual events that attract an influx of people for a short period. The towns however do not normally have the infrastructure to cope with this influx of people and it can become a hindrance inhibiting the growth and success of the event. The portable infrastructure project addresses this problem by providing funding for grandstands, cold rooms, toilets and mobile facilities that can be used throughout the region to address this problem.

22. Referee Training Facility
This project provides a training facility for rugby league referees officiating in the Townsville and District Junior Rugby League. This multi-purpose facility is available to other sporting and community groups for meeting and training purposes. The facility consists of an air-conditioned training room, a kitchenette, change rooms, outdoor meeting area and toilet facilities. Regional Partnerships funding was used towards the construction costs of the facility.

23. Western Suburbs Cricket Club
WSCC has a heritage listed clubhouse. In keeping within the Heritage listing requirements and the boutique cricket ground theme, WSCC is developing the Clubhouse to enable continued promotion and developmentof junior and senior cricket and vigoro in Townsville. Regional Parnterships funding will be used to fund the construction of two new change rooms, toilets, upgrade lighting and power facilties and to complete the planned shade area |

24. Burdekin Enterprise
Regional Partnerships funding was used to create an Economic Development Strategic Plan as a guide for Burdekin Enterprise. The Economic Development Strategic Plan will enhance the capacity of the Burdekin to achieve future economic and regional development. The Strategic Plan will incorporate the Burdekin Shire, which includes the main communities of Ayr, Home Hill, Brandon and Giru, as well as several smaller townships. The Strategic Plan will give direction for 'Burdekin Enterprise' as the peak development body of the Shire to guide and enhance economic and employment growth in the Burdekin Community. |
